Eating Fresh during the Rotten Economy

If you can, grow your own food. If you can't, save 20 bucks and find yourself a co-op, farmers market or market share program, and buy fresh locally grown veggies once a week. If you stick to foods in their natural state, you will quickly find it is inexpensive, tasty, and extremely good for you. Plus, you can feel good, as if you are saving the world.

Above is a web comic I created, displaying the cumbersome bike ride that takes place after buying great things at the Minneapolis Farmers' Market. The farmer's market is one of my new favorite things about Minneapolis. Great food, music, people, crafts and just a fun experience.

We have been growing a few things on our balcony, herbs and tomatoes; but we just do not have enough room to do much more. Gardening is something I look forward to doing in the future. So far in my life, my thumb has been anything but green.... and I think its about time to go green.

I agree...Farmers Markets are Great!! Everything from home made jams and jellies....without all of the 'preservatives'...to organic fruits and veggies!! All for about the same as the trucked in stuff at the grocers.

Obviously I've spent too much time in East Asia, but I read your title as Eating Flesh during the Rotten Economy.
