My mistake

For those of you unaware, part of my blog is researching and reviewing natural drinks. More specifically my search for a natural Root Beer that is good for you.

However, it was brought to my attention that I made a mistake in a previous review. Thanks to Nate from Bruised Reed who left a comment about my mistake.

I claim that:
"All root beer that I drink must not have any high fructose syrup included. This is a deathmark for any drink on the market, and extremely bad for your health. Secondly, the root beer must be natural or organic, and lastly the drink may not include any caffiene. Which luckily for me, most root beers do not have."

In my previous post: Hansen's Natural Soda
I made the mistake of not paying enough attention the ingredients and overlooked my cardinal sin inclusion of high fructose corn syrup. How i missed this, I have no idea. I went on and ranked this root beer quite high.

I want to apologize for my mistake to anyone that has read my reviews with any interest. I am going to consider Hansen's disqualified from my hunt for a truely natural and healthy root beer.

Final Verdict: DISQUALIFICATION

If you are new to my blog, i have recently stopped drinking soda, see my 5 tips to quitting soda forever blog. Also see my ever growing root beer reviews as I continue to try as many as possible natural root beer brands in search of the perfect drink. Find all reviews here on Zombie Robot Frosting.

Killer Soda is a dangerous drink, quit it today!

That's strange. Just today I got a pack of Hansen's root beer that has "no high fructose corn syrup" and "WITH REAL CANE SUGAR" on the label. I can't seem to find it on the website, but it was on the shelf at my local Trader Joe's.

It's easily distinguished by the front of the can saying "Natural Cane Soda" instead of just "Natural Soda".

Howdy! Uhm, at great risk of suggesting the obvious here, have you ever thought of naturally making it yourself? I found this one site; http://rootbeerbrewer.com/index.php/Root-Beer/ that has a few recipes (took me a while to figure it out, but you gotta click on the recipe title to see the full post.... yeah, I'm an idiot hehe).

Anywho, I hope this helps! Awesome site you got here, by the way - I wish I found it a long time ago!

That is indeed the Hansen's can of soda I also purchased. I was pretty sure the soda was void of any high fructose, although when i went back to the store I found the same can and it listed corn syrup on the can. It is possible there is a cane sugar version and one without.... that might explain the confusion, however they should update their website pronto.

make my own root beer? im going to look into this....

Hi all, Hansen's Natural has replaced high fructose with real cane sugar. Here's the info on it.

I can't remember you original list, and I'm too lazy to go look it up (and I see I'm posting about 4 months late on this thread :) )

All that to say, my kids like Jones Soda and especially the root beer. We got turned on to it because their Dr. took them off HFCS due to allergies and they got tired of drinking water.
