Xing Tea (energy drink)

Kelsey and I consumed a few too many energy drinks on the art tour. Some to help keep us awake at the wheel, and some because I cannot resist trying a new energy drink product. When we arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah we ran across a large tea drink called Xing Tea.

Here's a picture to prove it.

One flavor was green tea with ginseng & honey, and the other was green tea with pomegranate. I prefer pomegranate drinks usually. The all natural, energy drink, green tea, big can sold me on the product. I really found these drinks to be disgusting. The problem was the watered down flavor, and the almost nonexistent taste of tea. The honey flavor tasted like cold water with a bit of honey mixed in. The pomegranate one was even more disturbing to the taste buds. This is especially disappointing because it was 105 degrees outside and Kelsey and myself could have used a refreshing and tasty drink.

I do want to admit that the ingredients in these drinks are very admirable. There was no high fructose, and not many other ingredients. Only natural cane sugar, and basically the ingredients listed as the flavor. In that regards the Xing Tea would score very high on my "soft drinks are poison o meter". The price was also very decent for the size of the drink, however it seems you paid less for less flavor.

However, neither Kelsey nor myself would buy this drink again, although I would try other products from Xing Beverage if one looked appealing.

Hey William, that's a shame that drink didn't really taste good. I noticed you said you liked testing energy drink products... have you ever tried 6 Hour Power?

They make energy shots that provide long-lasting energy without the crash. They come in small 2 ounce bottles, but pack quite the punch. They taste great and come in 5 different fruity flavors. Check them out at www.6hrpower.com

By the way, I hope you don't mind me commenting on your blog. I work with them so if you have any questions about 6 Hour Power, let me know. I'd love to hear what you think of the 6HP drink!
